Hi Bruce,
My method is very much the same as Wendy's except that I have the source as
G.R.O. and include the type of certificate in the details ie. bmd. Thus I
only have one source for all certifcates. For births, I place the GRO
reference in the Research notes, for marriages in the marriage notes and
deaths in the death notes. Wendy's method reads better but for births and
marriages I prefer the ease of access when they are in notes.

Subject: [LegacyUG] How should I source a copy of a marriage certificate
Date: Thu, 8 Jun 2006 17:30:40 -0700
I have some Certified Marriage copies from the General Register Office
in England and I am not sure how to source them.
1. Create a master source for each marriage copy
2. Create a master source for Marriage certificates & detail each
individual certificate
3. Create a master source for England, Marriage Certificates & detail
each certificate
4. Other?
