Greg, I think prefixing the names with Apache is the way to go....I can't imagine anyone owning the trademark for "Apache PubSub" or "Apache WSRF"...
We just make sure the projects are named like that.... Excuse the pun but, trying to solidify these names has been like a Greek Tragedy!!! Hopefully we're all set now.... -Sal -----Original Message----- From: Greg Stein [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, April 26, 2005 4:17 AM To: Campana Jr., Salvatore J Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Springer, Ian P. It doesn't seem that they have filed a trademark, but still... If it seems like a concern, then I know the CTO over there, and can ask him whether he'd mind us calling a project "Apache PubSub". He might take issue with dropping the Apache part, but the two-word mark might be fine.
