I think prefixing the names with Apache is the way to go....I can't imagine anyone owning the trademark for "Apache PubSub" or "Apache WSRF"...
We just make sure the projects are named like that....
Excuse the pun but, trying to solidify these names has been like a Greek Tragedy!!!

This is more than just trademark: it's being a good citizen. I'm against an Apache project taking the name of another open-source project - permission or not. So, I don't think 'Apache PubSub' is appropriate. Rohit used mod_pubsub throughout his PhD dissertation, has given talks at ApacheCon about it, and has several published papers using that name. -- justin
