Hi swappers,

I've got a iMac G5 17" 1.8 GHz for parts or repair. It does not have the Airport Extreme or Bluetooth options. The optical drive is a Superdrive and it is fully functional. The unit is intact, including the power cord, hard drive, two 512MB DIMMs, original Apple keyboard and new 3rd party wired mouse. The power supply is guaranteed working as I swapped it to another unit and that unit worked flawlessly..

He's the scoop on the issue: the machine chimes on boot up and the Apple logo displays. The video begins to break up and the fans start to speed up. The cursor stops responding before the desktop appears.

I've repaired many of these units and this one has the symptoms of bad capacitors, however the caps all look perfect. No bulging whatsoever. It might just need new caps, but I also suspect a video chip issue.

I've got too many commitments and don't want to replace capacitor these days, so I'd selling this unit with keyboard and mouse for parts or repair.

$90 shipped in the lower 48. I'm open to offers and trades. I could use an Apple aluminum keyboard without the numeric keys as part of a trade.
