Up for sale is a white polycarbonate MacBook, Late 2008 model (MB402LL/B, A1181), with the following specs:
* Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 (Penryn) 2.1 GHz processor * 2GB PC2-5300 DDR2 RAM (2x1GB) * Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics w/ 144MB VRAM * 1280x800 LCD * 60GB 5400 RPM SATA HDD (wiped, no OS) * 8xSuperDrive, USB2, FW400, GigE, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, mini-DVI **Known Issues** *The unit has a dead backlight*. If you shine a light on the screen, you can see whats on it when it's turned on. The LCD seems to be working okay and it seems like it is an inverter/inverter cable issue. Video out through mini-DVI works perfect, been using it as a desktop of sorts connected to an external display. *Mini-DVI adapter not included*, since I only have one and need it for other units. Aside from the backlight, the unit is in great health, with *all components passing TechTools 6 diagnostics*. *The battery does not work or hold a charge*. I will include the 60W MagSafe adapter with the MacBook. *The casing has some wear and tear, scratches and scuffs*, but has been cleaned with a Magic Eraser, so there are no visible stains. The palm rest has the usual edge chipping, but this unit is within the four-year complimentary palm rest replacement program by Apple. The LCD has some light keyboard marks. The unit is capable of running Mac OS 10.7 Lion with no issues or hacks, but is unable to run 10.8 Mountain Lion. The MacBook will come with a wiped hard drive, per list standards. This MacBook has plenty of life left in it, even as a Lion/Snow Leopard desktop replacement. A replacement inverter is about $20, however I don't have time to crack open the unit and fiddle with it. Package includes MacBook, non-working battery, and working MagSafe 60W charger. Asking $265 shipped in CONUS. PayPal preferred.
