Friends: For some reason, the link to the newstory in the Great Falls paper broke in transit. Rather than chance it happening again, here is the story itself:
Saturday, March 1, 2003 Man's family offers $50,000 for solid lead Posters of new reward sent across country via e-mail By JENNIFER PEREZ Tribune Hi-Line Bureau ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- HAVRE -- The family of a missing Havre man found dead last fall near Devils Lake, N.D., is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of his killer. A relative of Russell Turcotte, 19, added $45,000 to the original $5,000 reward for information leading to arrest or conviction, said his father William Turcotte. A rancher found his body Nov. 5 near U.S. Highway 2 about four months after he was reported missing en route home from a hippie gathering in Michigan. Turcotte last was seen in the Grand Forks area last summer after calling his mother Lynda Flynn of Wolf Point to ask for money for a train ticket home. He never picked up the $100 she wired him and wasn't heard from again. Posters of the new reward are being sent across the country via e-mail and are being posted in North Dakota communities, his father said last week. No arrests have been made but criminal investigators in North Dakota are following up on some leads and are conducting interviews in the case, said Jerry Kemmet, director of the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation. "At this point we haven't identified any suspects," Kemmet said Friday. Foul play was a factor in his death but results of his autopsy aren't being released at this time, Kemmet said. To report information, call the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation at (701) 328-5500. _______________________________________________ Leninist-International mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To change your options or unsubscribe go to: http://lists.econ.utah.edu/mailman/listinfo/leninist-international
