With other apps I use iso-8859-15, but that didn't work w/o glitches upon saving the file here. So I changed it back to iso-8859-1 (as the backup of my Leo file told me in its first line). I never got it which of those various font options does it, so I always change all of them: I do a search over utf-8 and replace it accordingly. Save the settings, close Leo, start it again, try if save works, and then look at the first line of the Leo file (I use "less" for this).
