My 2 cents, from a newbie's point of view, I think it would be less 
confusing to use something more descriptive than @r for rich text nodes. 
@rtf, or @richtext, or @rich, or I suppose even @rt would be better.

We could also consider alternatives to "rich":
@formatedtext
@formated
@fmtd
@style
@stylized

Just brainstorming.
