There are presently 10 items on the b1 to-do list. They will likely be completed by Wednesday, June 1. There are significant items on the b1 list. They will likely take a week or two.
I have spent a lot of time review the to-do lists recently, trying to understand what is important to do, and not. Emulating Emacs and Vim is not what makes Leo special :-) However, it's important to fix the last nits now, so we can all move on. Today I completed a final review of the to-do-later list. Only three small items were promoted to the 4.9 list: the "solvable vim-related problems". These require no vim-related work. No items on the to-do-later list is scheduled for any future release. This means that the "real" to-do list will be empty when 4.9 final goes out the door. I intend to work on Leo "forever", but it will soon be time to focus on larger issues.
