Rev 4203 fixes two bugs related to match_mark_following, and this
seems to fix the colorizing for shell files.

These fixes "localized" to match_mark_following, but they will affect
colorizing for any language that uses this method.

Please report any new syntax coloring problems immediately.

Actually, I would also appreciate any reports of *improved* colorizing
as the result of these changes.  I'm still mostly guessing about what
match_mark_previous/following should do.  At present,
match_mark_previous is disabled, which may cause obscure problems, but
mostly seems harmless.

I'll investigate scala soon...
