This happened to me too. I had to restore myLeoSettings from a backup.
Terry, we've got to remove this advice. It tends to destroy
myLeoSettings.leo.
Show me a reproducible problem :-} Jerry wasn't reporting complete
settings carnage, as you reported the other day, just the re-appearance
of a menu highlighting issue. I'll check that, although in Ubuntu with
default settings and enabling the dark theme, I wasn't seeing the
problem.

I second this -- I never had an issue when I was toying with those
settings. It appears to be a freak occurrence.
