PLUM AMARETTTI
 
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. almond extract
4 plums, halved and then cut into 12 wedges
GARNISH: 3 amaretti cookies, crushed
 
Simmer 1/2 cup water and the sugar in saucepan until sugar dissolves. Cool. Add almond extract. Pour syrup over fruit. Chill 2 hours. Spoon into serving dishes. APPLY GARNISH. Makes 4 servings.*
