Barbecued Green Beans

1 lb. bacon

1/4 cup onion, chopped

3/4 cup ketchup

1/2 cup brown sugar

4 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

3/4 tsp salt

4 cups of Green Beans

 

Brown bacon in skillet until crisp and break into pieces.  Reserve about 2 Tbsp of the bacon drippings.

Sauté the onions in the drippings.

Combine the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and salt.  Stir this into the bacon and onions.

Pour this mixture over green beans and mix gently.

Pour into a slow cooker and cook on high 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.

Makes about 6 Servings
