I'm leaving #1673 active (why is each package in the book). The general
idea behind it still stands. Then again, the book can *always* provide
more rationale on why things are done, so this ticket may never actually
get closed but rather become project mandate. A ticket isn't the right
location, but for now it serves as a reminder to deal with it later in a
more appropriate manner.

#2033 (initramfs) isn't a bad idea actually. We'll have to discuss in
due time if it should belong in the book, a hint or elsewhere. I'm
leaving it also active as to serve as a reminder to re-discuss the whole
matter later on.

Agreed on those and processed accordingly.

Is it adequately addressed though? I know the ticket talks about
different architectures which isn't exactly applicable to LFS.

I assume with the book's section you refer to, you mean the last
paragraph where it talks about build-logs? Those build-logs date back to
November 2005. I'd call that outdated compared to the book's current
contents and package versions.

Maybe this bug ought to be marked as 'invalid' (for LFS purposes) and
replaced with a new ticket that addresses section 4.6 being outdated.

Can you just confirm if I understood you correctly?
