Well, if we use a specific version, we can't use anything newer than what the host is running (so we can't use the &linux-version; entity, for instance). My initial reaction is to use either current or 2.6.2, with 2.6.2 (slightly) preferred. My reasoning is that it's possible for someone to build LFS from a newer kernel than &linux-version;, which means that if they use =current, nothing would run when they booted the system. (OTOH, I don't do a lot with the core toolchain, so yeah.) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHOubuS5vET1Wea5wRA4t5AKDFi2F2xukcYgKohY7f147ek4h3lQCgyS1d UtJC9UgEP6C+2HtnQ8XX7cg= =XBxl -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
