On a related note, this is the best build of glibc I've ever had in
terms of test success.  The only test that failed other than
posix/annexc was the crypt/sha512c-test due to a timeout.  It appears
to be addressed here:

Running the test again like so allows it to go fine:

    $ TIMEOUTFACTOR=2 ./testrun.sh crypt/sha512c-test


One of the followups in the thread I linked above indicates that this
timeout for this test is increased in a newer release.

I guess it's not broken at all, it's just my lazy cpu.
