Back on topic: I'm all for having LFS support systemd both because it supports the project's goal of showing how a modern distro is built (though if we took that argument to its logical conclusion, LFS would have a chapter on building initrd images) and because of all the packages starting to require it (Gnome in particular). Mind you, that doesn't mean that I like systemd. William
