Should "2.5. Setting The $LFS Variable" be changed to "2.5. Checking The $LFS Variable" with "export LFS=/mnt/lfs" deleted. It seems redundant as "export LFS=/mnt/lfs" is done in "2.4. Mounting the New Partition." The first paragraph could perhaps also be deleted and the "Having this variable set ..." paragraph moved beneath the "Make sure the output ..." paragraph.
Another option would be to delete the shaded "export LFS=/mnt/lfs" command block. "Choose a directory location and set the variable with the following command:" could be changed to "In the previous chapter the LFS variable was set with "export LFS=/mnt/lfs."
