I actually do not follow the lfs books, but i try to compile a linux system
for myself. As a last resort i write to this mailing list:

i always get the error:
allocatestack.c:404: allocate_stack: Assertion 'size != 0' failed.
during make check.

This is an error within the nptl part of the glibc. Because the linuxthreads
part is not maintained anymore, I will have to switch to nptl, but this
effort has failed for about two years now. I tried with a variaty of
different versions of the gcc, glibc, linux headers and binutils, but always
exactly the same error occurs. This is so extremely frustrating. And it is
even worse that NOBODY wants to help me. I think i am the only person who
gets this error. So if anybody here has an idea, what the cause of this error
can be, please help me.

thanks, Björn
