I can confirm it now. it works! At the present time I'm at chapter 6.17. :D which means that I've rebuilt bison, but now it's just to install the final working version on my LFS system. ;) I'm now facing some minor issues, like an interruption near the end of the testsuite of gcc. (but I've asked about it on the irc channel and te guys said me that it's ok.) or also a strange behaviour of the installation of the coreutils man pages, which is probably related to my mistake.. :P (I'm using the user-based packages management system suggested on section 6.3.2.7 of the book, because it seems to me the one which provides more chances to learn, since it forces me to uses the system tools. ;) Coreutils was not supposed to overwrite the man pages previously installed by the man-pages pack, but it seems to be just what's happened.. :P Anyway it's better for me to check it by myself. :P I't will be an useful exercise! :) ) anyway I consider this perl-problem as resolved. :) you just need to find out if it's only a problem of version 1.75 of bison, and then to fix the related note on the errata page, to let people know about it. :) if you need to ask me something, check the 2 sites mentioned at the end of the email: you'll find my email address on those pages. anyway I'll still check this mailling list while building LFS. if I found some other bugs, I'll come back to ask you for help. (I hope no. :P) it's all for now. thanks! bye!
