Check for dead links, unless ls has color you most likely will miss them.
run: file {/usr,}/lib/libbz2*
should get exact result:
/usr/lib/libbz2.so: symbolic link to `../../lib/libbz2.so.1.0'
/lib/libbz2.so.1.0: symbolic link to `libbz2.so.1.0.6'
/lib/libbz2.so.1.0.6: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV),
dynamically linked, stripped
run: file /bin/bunzip2
should get exact result:
/bin/bunzip2: symbolic link to `bzip2'
run: readelf -e /bin/bzip2 | grep interpr
should get exact result:
[Requesting program interpreter: /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2]
run: readelf -d /bin/bzip2 | grep NEEDED
should get exact result:
0x0000000000000001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libbz2.so.1.0]
0x0000000000000001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libc.so.6]
