Hello,

Is the lftp that is packaged with the distros secure??
See the following ticket with a lot of extra information:
http://linux.overshoot.tv/ticket/214

Basically, the lftp that is packaged by the Linux distros do not appear to be
linked against libssl and the debug output does not show the certificate
details. Yet, it allows for secure connections...
See questions in comment #2:
http://linux.overshoot.tv/ticket/214#comment-321

I am still confused by this whole security business.
I summarised to the best of my ability the information I got from this very
mailing list:
http://linux.overshoot.tv/wiki/networking/lftp#Using_lftp_on_a_secure_network
Is anything wrong or misleading?

Thanks,

Augustin.
