Yes you are right about k < 128 :),
I have tested, it works :).
My previous solution not fine:
k >= 128 condition will be never called, because
++k goes inside if ( !found k >= 128) statement { ...++k...}
But I still do not understand
lib3ds_mesh_calculate_normals function ...
128 -> it is 3ds file format specific?
So this is "blind" fix only "by code".
