Usually when you have a "roll" value in the context of a camera, it's
defined in terms of the camera lookat vector. Now it's been some time
since I last used lib3ds but I would bet that's what it is :)

p.s. also, I don't know if there is such a "rule" in this mailing list,
but it's generally considered good practice to wrap your emails at the
71st column. They are much easier to read that way.
