Only Solaris and Linux seem to have the ENOTRECOVERABLE
errno. FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, DragonFlyBSD, Mac OS X, IRIX, AIX,
HP-UX, Haiku, Symbian, OS/2 and everything else do not.
