The problem I'm seeing is that celt seems to be there and there are already people using it even if it is deprecated. I was expecting that the libopus or whatever upstream will rename libcelt will keep the same interface so if this patch works correctly once we get an opus release it will be just a matter of relinking and maybe renaming.
