hi all, I have a final year project concerning server side video conversion to flv. I'm almost a complete newbie to unix although I'm familiar with a command line. The university are offering me a unix solaris server, although I won't have root access. What permissions to I need to run ffmpeg and what ports do I need to be open? Can you suggest any pitfalls to be avoided?
