I'd like to second Guido's objection that most people don't know what a hash is, or have the skills or software required to verify one, so this isn't an effective security measure for most people. Even if it were, you'd have to ask the celebrity to read a new hash for every version of the software, and the videos for old versions could be used in a rollback attack.
