You know better than that. God knows I have informed you often enough. This is one of the Seven Deadly Libertarian Myths. The people who support Zoning Laws and the like do not love their own Slavery, they love their NEIGHBORS' Slavery. The Freedom to enSlave their neighbors is LIBERTY to these lot. This is a very important distinction. It means, for one thing, that you will never "Educate" them out of it. No amount of Educating them to love Freedom will alter their knowledge that those Laws DO serve their interests: They have an interest in enSlaving their neighbors! The Zoning Laws DO WHAT THEY WANT THEM TO DO! When a man does not mind behaving a certain way, forcing his neighbors to behave that way does not limit his own Freedom at all... regardless of how onerous it is to the neighbors who despise such restrictions. Often the Oppressor does not even see that there is a problem. It is common for an individual to love his OWN Liberty while wishing to limit others' freedom. It is a waste of time to act on the belief that such an individual does not love his own Freedom.
