Yes, but I'm the wrong person to ask; my largest domains are around a
million elements, so I haven't yet bothered much with the parallel I/O
stuff that Ben and Derek worked on. I think the Nemesis file format
is currently our only option for parallel reads/writes.
However, even though serial I/O won't scale, in opt mode it shouldn't
take much time to begin with. I'd try parallel solves with serial
I/O, and if the percentage of your runtime devoted to I/O starts to
climb then worry about it then.
