Good evening, Robert!

Robert Goodman wrote to Frank Reichert...

Frank wrote in small part:
Please forgive me, but Robert has a long, long history of
interjecting unrelated and frivolous crap when I was originally
trying often to bring into focus serious commentary on issues.
This isn't at all the first time that I have brought up such
matters concerning Robert's behavior in responding to serious
posts.

To which, you replied:
This is a really low, insulting blow. You set yourself up as judge and jury
of whatever we should be thinking about, as if you're the one who gets to
decide for all of us what's important.

Well, the price of apples in Canada had absolutely no context at all to what I was writing about. Then you insulted me, suggesting I should buy potatoes in Idaho, rather than Canada, which I NEVER suggested I did. You changed the damn topic. You've done that scores of times, trying to escape a thread in place.

And, you should know, I am still the moderator of Liberty Northwest. I do set the standards for behaviour there, and that includes you. You may not like it, so start your own newsgroup and set your own standards for commentary.

> I started the thread here (by
quoting and responding to content from elsewhere), where for months the
weekly subscriber update and the monthly rules post had been making up the
majority of traffic.

Can't and won't apoligize for any of that. That is unfortuntely the way it is.

And after I started the serious discussion, you blame
me for "injecting unrelated and frivolous crap" because I didn't feel like
responding to most of what you put into the subthread?

Well, unfortunately, you did just that. You did write frivolous and unrelated crap responding to the words I wrote. In other words, on Liberty Northwest, you are indicted. You decided to talk about buying apples in Canada versus what I wrote about US economic issues.

If you want "unrelated and frivolous crap", how about your annual Xmas
message? How about your dissertations on the minor arcana of personalities
in the Libertarian Party in part of Idaho?

Too bad. I own the media here... it's my channel, and yes, I'll do just that once again in December in the same way and in the same manner as I have done for over a decade now. Shouldn't be a problem for you since you chose to subscribe to Liberty Northwest in the first place and you knew the rules and ownership of the media.

Why don't you just ignore material that doesn't interest you, the way the
rest of us do?

Well mainly, because I still own Liberty Northwest, and I am still the Moderator. You can't change the reality of that, and since I am the owner of the group, neither can you... so what's your problem exactly?

> That seems to be a problem of yours, the whole concept of
selective response, because for a long time you complained when I edited
your posts to respond only to those portions I had responses to -- which
practically everyone else considers GOOD netiquette

Well... excuse me. But that is not YOUR choice to make, since I pay the freight for Liberty Northwest. Yes I do. I pay to make this media available, and I also have the final say insorfar as when commentary crosses the line and goes elsewhere. Your's often do, and most often I don't say anything at all. It's kind of a private property thing Robert. If you don't own the media in question, you obey by the rules. The rules are posted weekly, and so I assume you are probably aware of all of them.

If you want to take this into private email, I can do that. If you continue to want to make this into a public forum for some reason, I can and will take appropriate action in that respect also.

Warmest regards,
Frank
