            Bug ID: 170824
Summary: Calc Sometimes Loses Formula Involving Off-Sheet Data
                    When Opening a Numbers File
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.8.4.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
I copied a Numbers file from a Mac (MacOS 15.5, Numbers 13.2) to a Linux System
(Kubuntu 25.10, Libre Office 25.8.4.2)

This file had a lot of references from one sheet to another. Often those were
formulae, such as SUM(remote ref:remote ref). It also had formula use entirely
within a single sheet.

I opened this file with calc, and found some formulae had been replaced with
their results. All the ones I found with problems were cross-sheet.

I then exported the same data from Numbers to excel format, and opened that
with Calc. All formulae appeared to be correct.

Because this was a large example, I then attempted to create to create a simple
test case, with data and one local formula in sheet 1 and formulae and direct
references in sheet 2. When I opened this one with calc, all references, on and
off sheet came through correctly.

So there's some other factor here, and I don't know what it is. Fortunately,
the contents of the original spreadsheet aren't private. I'll attach the
numbers versions of both spread sheets. (The bad one is named
2025_Books_read.numbers

One possibility is that 2025_Books_read started as a copy of 2024_Books_read
which may have started as a copy of 2024_Book_read etc. Earlier versions may
well have been created on an older MacOS with an older version of Numbers.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a Numbers Spreadsheet with Calc. It should contain off-sheet references.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Some cells had formula replaced by the result of the computation

Expected Results:
Formulae should come through as formulae, referring to the correct data cells

Reproducible: Didn't try
