            Bug ID: 172298
           Summary: Navigator - Remember layout
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.2.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Calc - Sidebar - Navigator
Currently does not remember/save the layout setup by the user after Calc is
closed and then relaunched.
The two main layout items I will speak about in this post are....
1.) The "Sheets" section always opens collapsed.
User has to open manual each time a file is opened.
2.)The state of the "Navigator" toolbar button called "Toggle" which hides the
information below the "Sheets" section in the main pane.

3.) Can also save the state of the "Drag Mode" button as well if desired.

I personally feel that if user sets these two/three items to their desired
preference, Calc should remember/save/use the same exact settings any time
Calc/Calc file is opened.

(See SETTINGS DIALOG section below for more details)

Thank You

I have many "Navigator" suggestions
Because there may be some users who prefer to keep current behaviors, I am
suggesting to make this a setting.
Which is why I am also suggesting adding a button in the "Navigator" toolbar
(with a gear icon), which would open up a setting dialog that would contain
settings for the "Navigator" sidebar.

As I make similar suggestion posts, I will link them in replies below if anyone
is interested.
