The workaround is to specify the date format
However, where a CSV file contains only:
20/04/2025
there is only one possibility, 20th Apr 2025. (It's not like 11/10 be either 11
Oct or 10 Nov in USA)
Could Calc detect that? "Detect special numbers" is ticked.
Currently it loads and shows
'20/04/2025
ie it shows as text.
