Bug ID: 172373
Summary: Mail Merge - When I print the document, instead of
printing the calculated field, it prints the full
field name
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.4.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I open a document and set a condition, and everything works.
If I use database fields, everything works. However, when I use a condition,
for example, if the age is 18 or older, leave it blank; otherwise, enter the
last name field.
When viewing, everything works fine, but when I print, instead of printing the
last name field value, it prints the full field name.
Even when I return to the main window from the print window, I find the full
field name and not the field value.
I've attached images of the condition set and the full video that reproduces
the bug.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a calculated merge field
2. Merge the value using the appropriate database row.
3. Press Print (...run a mail merge...click NO)...and the full field name is
already visible in the print window instead of the calculated value.
4. Even when I return to the main window, the full field name is still visible
instead of the calculated value.
Actual Results:
Print the full field name
Expected Results:
Print the calculated value of field
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Show the calculated value of field
