--- Comment #7 from ady <[email protected]> --- (In reply to raal from comment #6) > Contradict to tdf154491 ? I'm not sure, but I don't think so. FTR, IMNSHO the formula bar input window shall always remain LTR. There is a reason that the formula bar input window is not aimed at showing the result of the cell (whether it is a formula or anything else). The "format" (including text direction) of a cell affects how the _cell_ is displayed. For convenience, there is [F2] to edit directly on the cell instead of moving the cursor within the formula bar input window. Additionally, Calc allows the user to set Cursor Control movement to either Logical or Visual. Those are the adequate ways to deal with edition of CTL text in Calc. Leave the formula bar input window to be used as intended, with its main goal as priority. As for editing on the cell itself (which is not part of this ticket), I even doubt that changing the direction when using [F2] and editing on the cell itself would be always the adequate desired behavior. Imagine editing a formula that manipulates text (which is not the same as direct text, no formula); potentially seeing the equal symbol on one side, the parentheses "inverted", all depending on keyboard layout, text language and Cursor Control movement setting. Whichever the case, do not mess with the formula bar input window. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
