You can add an AC that replaces two dots by one EN space, for example, but to make any AC effective a finishing space or break is needed ending up in EN+space for "..Lorem". I disagree with AC/AF solutions to format text, and suggest to change the workflow/layout. What comes in mind is copy/paste or some magic character that you replace later.
