As I reported, all icons including safe mode have no apparent effect. Nothing
can be launched at all. I just tried launching from the command line with and
without the safe mode option, same effect. I noticed that the installation
directory is:
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program 
but there is also:
C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice Maintenance Service\UpdateLogs, which has
the file "4.log", a bit over 1.5MB, all entries there are from today,
2026-07-03. The tail of that file is:
