Justin L <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE Status|NEW |RESOLVED --- Comment #11 from Justin L <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Christian Lehmann from comment #10) > I consider Paolo's suggestion an advance. Slight modification: > - If the user's selection includes the paragraph symbol, then search within > the selection and remember this setting. > - Otherwise, copy the selection into the 'Find' box. I find this ironic. This requested behaviour is exactly what I see in LO 4.4. When I select multiple paragraphs, the 'search text' is unchanged from the last attempt, and the 'current selection only' is enabled. If my selection is entirely inside of one paragraph, then the 'search text' matches the selection, but 'current selection only' is not enabled. P.S. I disagree that 'current selection only' should always be enabled if the user has selected something. First of all 'current selection only' does not work that well (bug 90558), and secondly, comment 8 is right - most users select as something to search for, not to limit the search scope. WONTFIX based on the title 'Find and Replace dialog: "current selection only" option should be enabled by default if a part of the text is marked' Duplicate of bug 90558 for 'and remember this setting' - i.e. doing multiple search/replaces within a single user-selection. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 90558 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
