            Bug ID: 172711
Summary: PNG images change colour when exported to PDF on
macOS, while equivalent SVG images do not
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.2.2 release
          Hardware: Other
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
I am using LO to create a PDF that is to be printed using KDP (Kindle Direct
Print). The document includes graphics with a specific colour that are also
used for a front cover created using a professional graphics package. The LO
content uses a PNG for the graphics, derived from the same EPS file as is used
for the front cover.

However, the colours are different within the KDP environment.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a coloured square in Inkscape.
2. Save it as a plain SVG.
3. Export the same artwork as a png.
4. Create a new Writer document.
5. Insert both images.
6. Verify that they have identical colours in LibreOffice.
7. Export the document using File → Export as PDF.
8. Open the PDF in Preview - the colours are now different.

The attached LO document includes the images I used. I used the "Digital Colour
Meter" app to measure the colours as shown on the screen.

Actual Results:
Within LO, both images have the same colour (#820b27).

Within the exported PDF, the SVG's colour is #820c27, whilst the PNG's is
#8f00274.

The colour of the SVG is virtually the same in the pdf as in the LO document,
but that is not the case for the PNG.

Expected Results:
The colours should be the same.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
I tried adding/removing colour profiles from the PNG, but that made no
difference to the colours in the export.
