That is really interesting. I looked at your second sample and assuming I am
reading it correctly, LibreOffice is spending a lot of time in the
-[SalFrameView mouseDraggedWithTimer:] timer which is blocking the main thread
from fetching the next event.

What I cannot see in the sample is whether each -[SalFrameView
mouseDraggedWithTimer:] is taking a long time or if LibreOffice is posting a
large number of those timers.

Not sure how to debug this but I am very curious why I don't see this on my
machine. We're both using macOS Tahoe 26.6.1 and LibreOffice 26.2.5.2 so I am
wondering what possible differences between our configurations could cause this
bug. So I have a couple of questions for you:

1. Are you scrolling and dragging with a mouse? I am using the built-in
trackpad on my laptop so maybe that is a possible difference?

2. Could you post a screen snapshot of an empty Writer document? I normally use
the default UI configuration in LibreOffice so I am wondering if some UI
configuration triggers lengthy repainting during that timer.
