Thanks for the suggestion, BogdanB.

While using Alt+Enter is a helpful workaround—adding a paragraph above the
table, performing the copy and paste, and then deleting the paragraph again—the
underlying issue still persists. Users should be able to click and drag to
select both the table and adjacent text naturally, without needing to modify
the document structure or add extra empty paragraphs.
