--- Comment #13 from ady <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Octavio Alvarez from comment #12) > (In reply to ady from comment #11) > > (In reply to Octavio Alvarez from comment #10) > Because Calc automatically adds a database range when importing external > data. (Try it with View > Data Sources and importing a table). If that is the issue – which is barely mentioned, if at all – then this report does not focus on that aspect of importing data. Instead, it focuses on something completely different (i.e. autofilter) which is currently working correctly. > > > Taking the example provided in comment 0, you would need to define at least > > 1 data named range for the 2 columns together (letters and numbers, cells > > A1:B4), so the 2 columns (and their AutoFilters) would behave as 1 cohesive > > list. > > This is how it currently works, and this is what I am reporting as > problematic. Modifying the database range to include the extra columns makes > "Data > Refresh Range" erase the data in extra columns If that is the issue, then please open a new report aiming at that. The autofilter behavior can be considered a possible case to perhaps modify the behavior of importing from sources, but by itself the autofilter feature is working correctly. Additionally, perhaps you can consider using a Standard filter (not from AutoFilter but from its own menu entry). This is unrelated, just a possible way of perhaps overcoming whichever problem you are currently experiencing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
