            Bug ID: 173861
           Summary: FORECAST.LINEAR doesn't automatically transpose 1D
                    arguments
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.8.0.3 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Excel's version of the function FORECAST.LINEAR accepts arrays as input
arguments, where one 1 dimensional array is vertical and the other is
horizontal. LibreOffice Calc's equivalent function only accepts two horizontal
arrays or two vertical arrays, not a mixture.

For example take these four functions:
=FORECAST.LINEAR(150, {1,2,3,4}, {100,200,300,400})
=FORECAST.LINEAR(150, {1;2;3;4}, {100;200;300;400})
=FORECAST.LINEAR(150, {1,2,3,4}, {100;200;300;400})
=FORECAST.LINEAR(150, {1;2;3;4}, {100,200,300,400})

In LibreOffice this gives:
1.5
1.5
Err:502
Err:503

While in excel the same functions give:
1.5
1.5
1.5
1.5

There are other functions in Excel which exhibit the same "automatic
transposition". Any file containing these functions with the arguments not
matching in both dimensions throws Err:502, limiting compatibility with files
which function as intended in Excel.
