Hi Dominique, I had a though about your queston for missing specification for
the behaviour of "between" when used with alphabetical strings. Actually
"between" is an AND of other operators (<= , >=). Each of such operators is
also a possible option for conditional formatting. Possibly behavior of such
operator with alphabetical string is better documented. Should this be the
case, it would be enough to copy the relevant part of the specifications. 

Obviously this would improve documentation but wouldn't fix yet the software
bug of the erroneous saving of the "end" condition.

I have turned bug status to NEW because it is now assessed that a software fix
is required.
