He explained why. He gave a quick fix with crappy code to appease you but we're not going to keep it around so he's going to remove one of two things to make the code nicer. If you want to know more, I suggest learning some c++ and looking at the code. Markus is one of our most dedicated developers and spending a ton of time explaining everything he does makes no sense (just not efficient use of his time). Furthermore, he's explained repetitively throughout this bug why he doesn't think the current solution is functional. As far as you not wanting something....then don't do it.
