Problem resolved
I spent the night catching up on my Microsoft updates and installing the latest
LO release. I'm not sure what changed that mattered but the dialog now appears
differently. This image is from after the updates. I notice that the whole
dialog is wider & higher relative to the page and within it the Level and
Preview are wider. Also there is more space between lines of text and the
buttons are larger providing more area around their text.
Sadly I did not do the updates incrementally so I have no idea what caused this
change. However, the problem is resolved. Thanks to everyone who has spent time
looking into it.
