Well, I did have some guesses.

But it was not some point I was subconsciously trying to make.  Now that you've
confirmed my guess, I can state my point very loud and clear: In the world of
open source where a lot of work are done by volunteers, people who can code and
people who can't code are never going to have equal status.  The users can
report bugs, file requests for enhancement, make suggestions, but ultimately
it's the volunteer developers who are doing the hard work.  So as a user I try
to be respectful to developers and defer to their judgement.  I also tell all
users who listen to me that they should do the same.

You may disagree and that's fine, I could be wrong about this.  I'm just
writing all these out so that you don't take my original words as some sort of
slight or condescension.
