AI has great potential if used in the right way to say a tool that analyses data.I didn't use Windows since 25+ years, since I have found GNU/Linux. But at the time, it was my choice. So if people decide to use Windows they will inevitably find non-free software.Like going to the jungle, if my first choice is to visit jungle, I should not complain much about snakes inside. There are many free software Artificial Intelligence, you can download and run it on your own computer, or you can install it on servers. Was there not discussion on how AI is writing code based on what is on github, with or without proper attribution to where it came from, so there are moral and ethical issues here. The free software community believe we have better ethical model to say closed source models, I am not suggesting we reject AI, just think about who controls that particular tool and what their overall Modus Operandi isl which for companies such as Meta etc is to make money, AI and algorithms drive what users see on their feeds for example.Things changed, there are many free software AI language models and software, research and choose which one to contribute to. Start using it.
Surely the aim of this project is, among other things to help people find and use alternatives
