Well, I'll bite. I bought my Lib60 almost 4 years ago to use with my flight
navigation software. Flight and ground navigation now make up only about
half of my Lib's duty hours now.

I quickly found that the limitation of the small keyboard was more than
balanced by the compact size of this real PC. The Lib goes with me to
meetings to take notes or make quick inquiries on the internet or company
intranet. With its large (6.4GB) hard drive, I also use my Lib to burn CDs
when I am on the road. My 14-hour external battery allows me to play Video
CDs on trains and commercial flights and in hotel rooms.

The iR port allows me to interface with my Canon BJC-50 battery powered
printer/scanner, my Casio Freedio hand scanner, my PalmVx and my Motorola
GSM cell phone. I find that none of these devices suffers from the slow iR
interface.

Around the home or office, the Lib connects into the LAN via wireless LAN.
On the road, my Xircom combo card gives me Ethernet and Modem in one slot.

I have a good friend who is a locksmith. He liked my Lib so much that he
bought one to keep his key code software on hand. This allowed him to
remove about 6 linear feet of 3-ring binders from his service van.

I guess the key is in how you look at the Libretto. If you compare it to a
full size (and weight) laptop, you'll only see the shortcomings. If you
compare it to a wince device or Palm device, you'll appreciate how useful it
is to have a real PC in such a small package.

That's just my two pence.

Michael

This may be strange thread to start, but what do people use their Librettos
for and what type of software do you run, is there such a thing as must have
software, or must have configurations on the Libretto. I myself have
recently purchased a second-hand Lib 110 CT.

Thanks
